Empathy, Understanding and Professionalism
Woking Counselling and Psychotherapy was founded on a simple belief: that everyone deserves access to skilled, compassionate support when life feels difficult.
Maggie and Sonia bring the service together with different backgrounds, training, and areas of focus.
We share a common commitment to providing a safe, non-judgemental space where you can be fully yourself. Whatever brings you to us, we understand that reaching out can be one of the hardest steps to take, and we don't take that trust lightly.
Maggie and Sonia are professionally registered and work within recognised ethical frameworks. They are also committed to ongoing training and supervision. This means that no matter who you choose to work with you can expect the same standard of care and professionalism.
Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all so our experience means we can help match you with a practitioner whose approach and specialisms suit your needs.

Our Therapists look forward to working with you

Maggie
Therapist
Maggie is BACP registered and has extensive experience supporting people through addiction. She has worked at the Priory, Primrose Lodge (UKAT), and within addiction centres in prisons, giving her deep insight into the realties of recovery and the challenges that come with it.
Alongside this, Maggie works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, loss and grief, isolation, low self-esteem, and low confidence. She brings a grounded, compassionate approach shaped by years of working with people at some of the most difficult points in their lives.
Maggie believes we are all unique individual beings and draws from an Integrative model encompassing Rogerian person-centred, Freudian psychodynamic theories and existential thought. She takes care to work with each client at their own pace, so that therapy never feels rushed.

Sonia
Therapist
Sonia is BACP registered with experience working across social care, the NHS, health organisations, and private practice. She is also a qualified disordered eating and EFT therapist, and a counselling supervisor, working as an integrative therapist.
Sonia supports clients with anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, trauma, and self-esteem.
Having worked across such varied clinical settings, Sonia has encountered the full breadth of human experience — something that continues to shape how she works with every client she meets. She believes each person who comes to therapy carries a unique life story, and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. From the very first meeting, she takes time to understand who you are and what's brought you to therapy, so the support she offers is genuinely tailored to you.
